Chiaki, also known as Chie, is the older twin to her brother Sahu. She and her brother woke in a strange world unable to remember much about their lives beforehand--assuming they even had them--save for the phrases "Only twins can beget twins" and "the Second Twins". Chiaki is optimistic and adventurous but also brash and fearful. She believes in the goodness of people but relies too much on her inherited magic that her perception fails her. She is a sorceress but has trouble accessing her magic and typically does so through the spilling of her own blood.
